Day 5 Roatan Honduras

Our next stop was the island of Roatan in Honduras. It was beautiful. Lots of jungle and very green. The sun came out and it was warm. There was a little village built just for tourists where our cruise ship docked. Here is a picture of us in this village. The people who live on the island are not allowed inside the village unless they work there.

We headed out of this village to go snorkeling and kayaking. Here I am having lunch at the cannibal cafe. You can see a few shops behind me across the dirt road. Compare the shops in the photo above to the shops below.
We went kayaking around a peninsula then went on a little jungle hike.


Along with all of this we got to go snorkeling. It wasn't quite as amazing as the snorkeling in Grand Cayman, but it was still really fun. Our guide dove down to the bottom and brought up living conch shells and sea cucumbers for us to hold. Of course you are not supposed to touch the coral because it is so fragile, but it was pretty to look at along with the fish that live around it.
