Day 1 Getting to Miami

Here's a breakdown of our little getaway Jonathan and I went on. We left the kids behind and went to the Caribbean.


Here we are in the airplane heading to Miami.


The first night we stayed in a hotel. My sister Dawna and her husband Joe came with us on this trip. We checked in around midnight and ordered pizza and Calzones around 1:00 a.m. They were yummy.

When we got to Miami they were having record cold temperatures and freezing warnings everywhere. A lot of places we went to didn't have any heat. Our hotel rooms were heated, but the lobby was not. Here is my sister and her husband huddled together on the couch in the warmest clothing they brought. It was 35 degrees outside and not much better inside.
